Senior solar PV design and construction manager, Bulgaria

My client is a leading developer of solar photovoltaic power plants across Europe and the Middle East. They are currently expanding their Eastern European operations and have a number of new projects in the pipeline in the region, and are therefore looking to hire a senior engineer to take charge of the design and construction of these projects.

Responsibilities of the role will include:

• Taking on the design of large scale solar PV projects (1-10 MW) in Bulgaria and the wider region
• Organising the construction of said projects including the project management of EPC contractors
• Ensuring swift and smooth project delivery
• Being a point of contact for project owners to address any technical questions they have
• Liaising with suppliers and distributors in order to use the most suitable equipment for the installation of the solar PV projects

Skills and qualifications:

• You must have at least 8 years’ experience in power plant construction and design at a senior level and experience of managing solar PV design and installation for at least the past 3 years
• Experience of the Eastern European renewable energy market, especially the Bulgarian solar market, is essential
• Fully qualified as a civil, electrical or mechanical engineer with a bachelor’s degree in that subject
• Experience of dealing with EPC contractors and project managing a team of engineers in solar PV power plant construction
• Fluency in Bulgarian would be an advantage and fluency in English is essential
