Senior Scientist for Pollution Monitoring Laboratory

The Centre for Science and Environment, an established institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues is looking for a Senior Scientist for its state of the art laboratory for monitoring pollution and toxins.

Applications are invited for the post of Senior Scientist for the upcoming state-of-art CSE lab being designed for studies on Wastewater and Faecal Sludge Management – safe disposal and re-use. 

The job profile includes carrying out sampling and analysis of wastewater and faecal sludge samples, development of protocols for faecal sludge characterization, help in designing and maintenance of wastewater and septage management systems, conducting cutting-edge research and carrying out documentation on technology menus on de-centralized sanitation systems and knowledge support on demonstration projects in targeted areas. 

The candidate should have Ph. D./M. Tech./M. Phil. in Analytical/Organic Chemistry/Microbiology/ Environmental Sciences /Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology/Public Health Engineering/ Environmental Engineering  at least 5 years on-hand work experience in a similar or related capacity.

Qualification and experience requirements can be relaxed in case of candidates found suitable otherwise.
