Our client a leading research institute working within the Forestry sector is looking to fill the position of Senior Research Scientist for the area of Pietermaritzburg. Requirements:· A MSc/ PhD in a relevant discipline- Forestry, plant and agricultural sciences· Proven Research record in terms of project management and reporting· 3-5 years experience as an independent competent Research Scientist· Computer literacy in relevant software including MS Office and recognised statistical packages· Valid Code EB Driver’s Licence Roles and responsibilities:· Good planning and project management skills· Ability to write and editing of scientific publications· Good communication skills· Personnel skills-ability to motivate others· Important attributes are persistence, innovation, initiative, self-motivation, accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
