Senior Research Manager

Permanent Appointment based at Drayton (Warwickshire)
Salary in the range £25,088 to £27,876.

About ADAS
ADAS delivers sustainable research-based solutions for Government, Government Agencies, levy bodies and a diverse range of corporate clients in the UK and overseas. We require a Senior Research Manager to help deliver farm animal research on our central site situated on the outskirts of Stratford-on-Avon.

The Role 
To plan, manage and participate in the collection, processing, analysis and reporting of data and biological samples from important research carried out on farmed animal species. These studies are conducted to assist corporate clients develop animal health and feed additive products. You will be responsible for managing the delivery of a range of studies to meet protocol requirements and delivery deadlines. You will manage specified studies, producing well written protocols and reports, liaising effectively with clients and deliverers, and accurately forecasting expenditure and labour. You will manage Research Technicians, coaching and training staff where appropriate. You will help ensure adherence to monitored quality standards and Standard Operating Procedures.

Key Skills
You should have good organisational and planning skills, and the ability to lead and motivate staff. You will be able to draft protocols / reports, maintain detailed written records, transfer data accurately to electronic media and analyse data. Successful candidates will have experience working with farmed livestock species, be familiar with collecting and processing biological samples / data, and be able to follow detailed written instructions. Experience of working to GLP, GCP(v) and A(SP)A would be an advantage.
