Senior Research Associate - Water Programme

Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a non-profit institution known for its rigorous and scientific policy research and advocacy on environmental issues, is looking for one Senior Research Associate for its Water Programme. 

The person will be working in Water Policy team. This programme has evolved to help establish policy principles and innovative technologies for water and wastewater management – these efforts have been directed towards meeting the twin goals of laying the foundation for a water prudent society and adapting for climate resilience.

The job responsibilities would include - 

• Research on technologies and policy developments in water, wastewater treatment systems and sanitation

• Documentation, writing reports and articles on water, wastewater and sanitation

• Creating databases of policy makers, academicians, civil societies working in water and sanitation sectors 

Knowledge of environment protection rules, understanding of the compliance and monitoring of water pollution, prevention and control of water pollution will be an added advantage. 

Working under high pressure and challenging deadlines will be the norm. 

Competency in English speaking and writing skills is must. Candidate must be willing to travel extensively. 

Desirable qualification:

Post graduate degree in Water Management, Environmental Science or a related field with 3-4 years working experience. 

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
