***This is a non-ongoing opportunity for a specified task with an expected duration of two years. The role will be part-time for three days a week.***

The successful applicant will coordinate and administer the crown-of-thorns starfish control program by attending to the following duties:

  1. Coordinate the administration and management of the crown-of-thorns starfish control program including all contract, reporting, data management, administration and budgeting requirements.
  2. Provide expert advice to management, service teams and external stakeholders on the crown-of-thorns starfish control program.
  3. Prepare written materials and reports, and conduct face-to-face meetings as required.
  4. Liaise, consult and negotiate with stakeholders, clients and service providers regarding crown-of-thorns starfish control and more generally tourism and recreation issues and policy, including leading and participating in multi-stakeholder groups.
  5. Contribute to the work of the Tourism and Stewardship Section, including involvement in development of the Annual Operating Plan, representing GBRMPA as required and managing delegations.
