Description

Rare and exciting opportunity in a leading EU compliance buyer under EU ETS for a CDM Project Manager involved in the origination and development of CDM projects, from a technical and commercial perspective..

The Role

The Senior Project manager would be responsible for overseeing the entire project from identification, screening and due diligence, financial modeling, project design implementation and development, negotiation and execution.

Once a potential project has been identified, the Project Manager will be tasked with for preparing and presenting an investment case to the board in Munich for approval. Once the go ahead has been given, implementation will begin.

The Project manager will also lead all commercial negotiations, including ERPA. Support wise there will be up to 5 staff directly to assist with the project, including CDM manager who will manage the UNFCCC process, and up to 20 ‘back office’ staff in Munich, including admin, financial, and legal.

The Candidate

Ideally 5 – 10 years experience in a role in a similar capacity.

A strong energy background is critical, with experience in designing and setting up concepts for large scale power solutions, and / or exposure to upstream oil and gas projects.

CDM expertise does exist within the group, so an expert in this field is not critical, but there must at least be a good understanding of the project lifecycle.

An M&A or Private Equity background would be preferred, with experience in performing investment analysis and valuation by way of building / understanding financial models.

Strong commercial negotiation experience is essential, particularly with ERPA.

Engineering degree or equivalent.?
