Vestas Control Systems A/S is one of 14 business units at Vestas Wind Systems A/S. We are responsible for the development and production of electronics and control systems for Vestas wind turbines worldwide.
Tools & Equipment division is a part of Production Engineering at Vestas Control Systems A/S in Hammel, Denmark. The department supports all units of Vestas Wind Systems A/S with fully automated test systems for production testing. Test systems are an important part of Vestas' overall quality, which by 2015 we aim to achieve six sigma. The department currently employs 60 dedicated employees.
We are now searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager to implement development projects across different departments in Vestas. Are you robust, knows how to lead and delegate, have a good understanding of production processes and perhaps test systems for within the electronics area? Then we look forward to hear from you.
Responsibilities:

As Senior Project Manager you will have the following responsibilities and tasks:

  • Lead the development of test systems with internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for scope, time and cost of the project
  • Participate actively in developing and maintaining tools and processes for project implementation
  • Create and develop project relationships between the department and other business units
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has an engineer degree combined with minimum 5 years of experience as a project manager from a large, international, manufacturing company. Furthermore you have the ability to familiarize yourself with the technical issues without being the specialist. Additionally, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

  • Take ownership of your projects
  • Certified/qualified project manager
  • Experience with having the responsibility for project economics and resource management
  • Good communication skills and natural ability to get impact
  • Good skills in verbal and written English
  • Holistic and structured with a high level of abstraction
  • Action-oriented, while having the ability to delegate
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project
  • Experience with international collaboration across cultures

Electrical engineering background and experience in the wind industry would be preferable but this is not required.

Additional information:
Your primary work location will be Vestas Control Systems A/S, Hammel in Denmark. This position requires international business travel of approximately 30 days per year.
