Senior Project Manager, Madrid, Spain, Europe

My client is a is are large energy company, which produces electric power by means of renewable energy sources. They are one of the leading companies in the sector in Spain and are in eight countries globally. They are now looking to recruit a senior project manager for their on & offshore wind energy projects.

Position Overview:

The Project Manager is fully responsible for the oversight and management of on & offshore wind energy projects. They will act as the main interface with the customer to schedule work and coordinate services. This key role will be based on the project site and will report to the General Manager.  

Responsibilities:-

• ·         Evaluating the market, business, and investment opportunities in Europe
• ·         Developing new business relationships and managed the relationships with existing business partners
• ·         Liaising  with the relevant financial institutions

• Negotiating with the relevant parties for business contracts and completing and finalising approved contracts.
• Prepare project feasibility studies and perform due diligence on potential wind power projects acquisitions
• Supervise all project development, financing, construction, and commercialization.

• Supervise all outsourced services and service providers such as legal, financial, and operational

Education:-

• ·         Must have strong engineering background (degree in the area of buildings or architecture or construction, electrical engineering preferred )

Core Requirements:-

• At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in the Wind industry
• Must have excellent Spanish language skill(French, German, Italian and/or English beneficial)
• Must have a strong technical understanding of wind projects
• Proven track record within this area

• ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization

Key Skills:-

• ·         Wind Energy Projects experience,  thorough understanding of construction contracts and associated paperwork requirements, engineering Background (degree in the area of buildings or architecture or construction, electrical engineering preferred) and demonstrate ability to give presentations and perform training in both the management and technical areas, in addition to developing such programs
