VACANCY - Senior Programme Officer (AD771)

Ecosystem Assessment Programme
Salary £32,000 - £38,000

We are looking for a motivated and technically experienced Senior Programme Officer to work in the Ecosystem Assessment Programme, who relishes the opportunity to participate within an international arena and to work alongside leading experts in the sector. The programme produces high quality biodiversity indicators and provides support to international policy processes. Recent and current work includes coordinating the secretariats of the global Biodiversity Indicators Partnership, the UK National Ecosystem Assessment and the Performance Review and Assessment of Implementation System for the UN Convention to Combat Desertification.

This role will provide you with the chance to lead the development, resourcing and delivery of a portfolio of projects. Your work will be critical and high profile, focussing on increasing the understanding of decision makers regarding biodiversity and ecosystem services. We believe that this is a significant career opportunity to contribute towards a global agenda, whilst demonstrating your leadership, project management and technical expertise. You will be an outstanding collaborator and will build on your strong existing network by working with UN agencies, international and inter-governmental organisations.
