We are looking for a highly motivated and technically experienced Senior Programme Officer to join our Science programme. The successful candidate will use their expertise to advise colleagues across the Centre and will assist to shape the direction of the Science programme.

Reporting to the Head of Science, this role will help to build a portfolio of projects within the Science programme, specifically to include projects which generate scientific outputs that inform decisions at the science/policy interface. The Senior Programme Officer will provide expertise to the Centre in the implementation of robust spatial analytical approaches to assess biodiversity and ecosystem values and the trade offs between development and conservation and will deliver advice, training and services to colleagues throughout the Centre.

We will provide you with the challenge of developing innovative and important work. You will have the opportunity to work across terrestrial and marine ecosystems by collaborating with staff from each of the Centre’s programmes, and will also collaborate with other technical experts including our Fellows networks.

You will bring your highly developed proposal development skills to the post, as well as strong project management skills and proven analytical skills.

There will be a requirement to attend relevant conferences, workshops both in theUKand internationally, which will allow you to extend your own knowledge of scientific and policy issues relevant to the work of the Programme.  In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions.
