Description

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering complex, multi-partner, research programmes and leading best practice in programme evaluation and delivery.

You will provide best practice support and assurance to all NERC teams delivering environmental research programme evaluation, as part of a new team of experts within the Strategic Partnerships Directorate. You will coordinate and deliver NERC led programmes with complex governance structures and multiple partners, particularly the Strategic Priorities Fund (SPF) and the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) alongside a team of Programme Managers.

You will look after provision of best practice for NERC SPF Programmes through all stages of development, delivery and completion. You will maintain strong working relationships with Internal and External stakeholders, including government departments. You will manage best practice on evaluation for NERC programmes and processes.

You will need:

  • Graduate level understanding of the environmental sciences and how research works.
  • Understanding of the landscape for research and research funding, in both the UK and internationally.
  • Good understanding of environmental challenges, UKRI, DEFRA and BEIS policy, business and societal needs.
  • Able to manage business processes effectively, efficiently and flexibly.
