This strategically important position will join the team leading PECI’s Light Commercial HVAC energy efficiency team to deploy an innovative, new program designed to transform the HVAC market. This person will be charged with creating and expanding our unitary HVAC energy efficiency programs, growing key accounts and leading a successful team expected to generate innovations and improve program performance. This team includes managers, remote employees and individual contributors. The successful candidate will build trusted relationships through careful listening, partnering, smart resource management and effective leadership. 
 
PECI operates in a rapidly changing environment. This person must be able to maneuver quickly between big-picture design, implementation and coordination details. A strong strategic orientation must be accompanied by an ability to easily switch gears between strategy and execution in response to business needs. Further, this person will take effective action without necessarily knowing the total picture or having all of the facts at hand. The ability to readily and easily refocus in response to unexpected events and circumstances is required. The position needs a person who can lead successfully amidst ambiguity. Finally, the successful candidate will continue to develop a trusted relationship with the Northern California client.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead one or more significant account relationships
  • Assure programs achieve financial and energy savings goals
  • Partner with engineering, marketing, program and other groups within PECI
  • Serve on the business unit’s leadership team and support PECI’s efforts to remain a leader in an evolving market
  • Continuously assess program progress and anticipate new issues or market developments
  • Continuously and aggressively identify and evaluate new methods to support and improve the delivery of energy efficiency services for clients within the constraints of program budgets
  • Develop and grow partnerships with vendors, industry players and internal partners
  • Develop and manage program budgets
  • Represent the company to clients and industry associations, including presentations, papers and networking

Position Requirements:
  • Eight-plus years of experience in program management, preferably in a professional services environment
  • Ease and experience with technology and its application; preferably in the field of energy efficiency
  • Experience in professional services contract development, negotiation, and management
  • Proven ability to understand market dynamics and implement innovative solutions
  • Adept at presenting and communicating with colleagues at all levels
  • Experience in developing people into expanding roles throughout the organization
