The Senior Product Manager (SPM) for our Sub-metering and controls product lines will be responsible for the overall product portfolio management from concept to end of sale.  Our sub-metering and controls product lines include enterprise grade electricity meters, building control systems, and peripherals.  These hardware devices are designed to help monitor and control government and commercial buildings more efficiently resulting in financial and environmental savings.  The enterprise energy management market is a dynamic, high growth opportunity.  Recognized as an industry leader in sub-metering and control, we are searching for a highly creative, driven, and technical product manager who can take these products to the next level.  Working closely with sales, marketing, and engineering, the ideal PM will be able to identify strategic business opportunities, document requirements, and position these products crisply for our customers.  The SPM will orchestrate product concepts, product development, and launches in a cross functional organization.

 

Responsibilities

The SPM position is highly visible and will interact with all levels of the organization from developers to PR analysts to the CEO.  The main responsibilities are below.

  • Create and refine product requirements
  • Own and refine the roadmap
  • Pricing and packaging
  • Competitive Analysis
  • Positioning and overall message delivered to marketing
  • Product evangelism within & outside the company
Qualifications
  • BA required in technical area (ME, EE), MBA/MS preferred
  • 10+ years of product management experience
  • 5+ years experience with enterprise grade hardware – preference building controls and/or metering experience
  • Experience with Tridium Niagara Framework is a plus
  • Experience with commercial building systems like HVAC, Lighting, Power is a plus
  • Creative problem solver and multi-tasker
  • Excellent product positioning & messaging skills
  • Creative thinker who can bring product management excellence to a growing company
