Work with manufacturing team to perform product performance analysis, product test failure analysis, drive improvement in product manufacturing and achieve product performance and cost goals. Provide product testing support for manufacturing by disposition hold/engineering lots, track yields and analyzing low yield lots. Assist in the development, evaluation, and implementation of novel test and characterization methods, corresponding analysis methods, and evaluation criteria for module product development and production process monitoring. Manage test equipment vendors and tester builds and tester improvements. Manage and validate test program releases and old test program archives. Ensure test data integrity and publishes production, yield and equipment utilization reports. Define and implement a customer support and RMA process. Interface with worldwide independent test and characterization centers and routinely perform single point and round robin correlation studies. Also, drive all outdoor PV module characterizations. May be assigned to various projects using skills.

REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Physics or a related field and 2 years experience the job offered or a related position including Process Engineer.

Experience and/or coursework must include: 1. Photovoltaics theory and Semiconductor physics as applied to photovoltaics; 2. Experience with crystal-silicon based solar cell modeling, simulation and failure analysis; 3. Optics and photovoltaic concentrators; 4. Correlation of crystalline based solar cells to STC (Standard Test Condition); and 5. IEC, ISE and NREL testing Standards.
