Senior Policy Officer - Migrants Programme

Reference number: 6160114

Location: Bedfordshire

Join RSPB's flagship international conservation programme to protect migratory birds as they travel to Africa each year.

Your role will work closely with our BirdLife International Partners in English and French-speaking West Africa.

You will be joining the migratory birds team to develop a programme of policy research and influence focussed on key land use changes that affect the natural environment, principally in West Africa.

This senior post requires energy, enthusiasm and self-initiative. You should be an effective verbal and written communicator, with the ability to pioneer a new work area. Knowledge of international policy issues, such as resource and land use policies would be an advantage.

RSPB is Europe's largest nature conservation organisation and forms part of one of the largest international conservation networks, BirdLife International.

Salary

£27,500 to £32,000 per annum
