Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join the team responsible for tackling air pollution in the capital.

Excellent organisational, research and problem-solving and delivery skills will be crucial to your success. You’ll need a demonstrable flair for communicating and influencing as well as building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The role requires a flexible, adaptable and collaborative approach, and will involve working on many initiatives simultaneously, in a fast paced and political environment.

The ability to interpret, analyse and present data and technical information would be an advantage, as would experience in air quality or a related field. However, strong applicants who can demonstrate that they have transferable skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly will also be considered.

The Air Quality team is based within the GLA Environment and Energy Unit which is responsible for the delivery of the London Environment Strategy. This is a rare opportunity to work with colleagues who are committed to making a difference to the lives of Londoners and future generations.

This role will be based at London Fire Brigade’s Head Office (Union Street SE1 0LL).

At present GLA staff are working largely from home, with office space available.  Over the coming weeks and months, we will moving to hybrid working, linked to our relocation programme. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office
