IEEP is looking for a full-time Senior Policy Analyst or experienced Policy Analyst to join our Green Economy Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic, analytical and committed researcher keen to engage in European and international environmental policy making, and happy to be challenged in a fast paced environment. A background in environmental/ecological economics (minimum MSc level) or equivalent experience is essential. An understanding of EU policy and institutions is desirable. The work will be policy-oriented with varied thematic focus. You will be involved in a range of projects of different size, timescale and subject matter at European, national and/or global levels. The work will focus on the policies and instruments for a green and circular economy. This will include, for example, cost and benefits of environmental policies, market-based policy instruments, sustainable development goals (SDGs) and related indicators, analysis of biodiversity and ecosystem services and their links to policy and wellbeing, employment benefits of environmental and nature conservation, and a range of other subjects related to circular and green economies. It is envisaged that the post holder will be appointed at a Senior Policy Analyst Grade 2 level, with a Gross Annual Salary of €41,000 - €43,000. Candidates with more, or less, experience than envisaged may also be considered, and offered a position according to terms outside the grade and salary range above (see job description for further detail).
