Senior/Principal planner- Minerals and Mining

 An exellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner to join the Environmental Planning Department with an established planning consultancy in North West England who cover a variety of sectors from minerals to renewable energy.

As a Senior / Principal Planning Consultant you will provide technical support and direction to the Planning Department and manage a variety of multidisciplinary projects. Projects you will be involved in may include planning policy and legislation, EIA preparation, waste management licensing and IPPC applications, risk assessment and due diligence.

To be successful in this position you will ideally have a minimum of MSc qualifications, planning and/or EIA & consultancy experience (min 3-5 years for the Senior appointment and min 8-10 years for the Principal level) and project management experience including budgeting & financial control.

Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable as is knowledge of the minerals and waste sector.
