Food & Water Watch is a leading national consumer advocacy organization that runs dynamic, cutting edge campaigns challenging the corporate control and abuse of our food and water resources. Since 2005, we have won significant victories to protect our food and water. Our work has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post and other major media outlets. In the next couple of years, our major national campaigns will involve pursuing a fair and sustainable food policy in the next Farm Bill, pursuing national legislation to increase funding for public water infrastructure, and preventing our oceans from being opened up to factory fish farms. In addition the Senior Organizer will continue Food & Water Watch’s work against hydraulic fracturing (“natural gas fracking”) and our Take Back the Tap Campaign. We seek a Senior Organizer to join our team of experienced campaigners, researchers, and lobbyists. The Senior Organizer works to develop and implement legislative, field organizing, and media strategies and campaigns in support of Food & Water Watch campaigns in New York and the surrounding region. The Senior Organizer will report to the Eastern Region Director. Food & Water Watch is headquartered in Washington DC, with a Western hub in San Francisco, an Eastern Region office in New Jersey, and eight other field offices in the United States. This position will be located in our Brooklyn office. Specific Responsibilities
