This is a fantastic opportunity to join WWF-UK in our 50th anniversary year and take on a new and challenging senior role in our media relations team. WWF works to find solutions to the world’s most serious environmental issues by safeguarding the natural world, tackling climate change and changing the way we live. Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll lead the team’s work on forward features and longer-lead media relations. You’ll devise and deliver a strategy to raise the quality and range of our coverage, helping to increase visibility, understanding and engagement with WWF and our work. You’ll already have had significant experience in a senior media relations role and you’ll be able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of what makes quality content. You might have worked as a features or broadcast journalist or in a senior editorial position, and you should bring a strong network of contacts to the role. An excellent communicator, you’ll have a strategic approach and a good sense of how the entire communications mix fits together. A positive attitude, great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour are also essential. Experience of charity campaigning and fundraising and an active interest in environmental issues are also highly desirable.
