Description

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive. Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’re also committed to safeguarding the natural world through tackling the global threat of climate change. And by helping people to change the way they live, to ease pressure on natural resources.

An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen in our WWF-Cymru office to work within our Communications team. We are looking for someone who will have the skills and experience to secure the highest favourable profile for WWF-Cymru amongst key target audiences.

You will have a proven track record in the implementation and development of media and campaign activities as well as an understanding of the work WWF does so you can target those campaigns to the media, online supporters and the Welsh Assembly Government. You will have the knowledge required to be able to communicate and implement these ideas through traditional formats but also to oversee the implementation of WWF-Cymru’s social media strategy.

We are seeking someone who can work as part of a team but it is important you can work on your own initiative without close management. You'll be able to spot opportunities and challenges as they arise, have a strong news sense and will be comfortable dealing with all types of media from traditional print to social networks. It is vital you have fluent written and verbal Welsh language skills.

For more information please see the job description.
