The Senior Marine Project Officer is responsible for supporting multiple aspects of the management and implementing of the IUCN-ORO Marine Team’s projects including ensuring continuity in workflows that pertains to project work across partner countries, supporting, especially Fiji’s marine conservation efforts including building a national network of marine protected areas and providing technical advice on marine spatial planning and marine protected areas identification, implementation and management across partner countries. Partner countries, to date, include Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu. The position will contribute to the management and reporting including on funds granted to IUCN-ORO to help achieve the marine projects’ outcomes and outputs.
