Senior Manager of Development & Strategy

National Wildlife Federation is seeking a Senior Manager of Development & Strategy to join the NWF Marketing Dept. This is the perfect opportunity for a creative and strategic marketing professional with excellent project management skills!

Responsibilities:

• Works with the Director to create and drive strategy for marketing data uses in development that integrate our approaches to communicating, cultivating, and soliciting donors en masse.
• Provides primary support to the Director in terms of project management.
• Helps create and oversee fluidity/timeliness in production amongst the different operating arms of the team.
• Helps sequence large projects for the best use of the team’s resources and serve as project lead for the largest, most complex projects.
• Works to integrate the reports and analysis structure generated by IT team and service as a “watchdog” for improvement and need.
• Serves as a key resource in the creation of marketing plans and the adherence to them throughout the year.
• Monitors the target data to ensure effectiveness of NWF’s outreach efforts.
• Oversees day to day mechanics of team management.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• 7 years professional experience with the non-profit arena
• Progressively increasing responsibility in one of the following areas:
  • Donor Strategy
  • Annual fund
  • Marketing
  • Writing
  • Data and/or research

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated track record of team and/or Project Management with the ability to organize and manage complex projects with multiple players and meet deadlines.
• Thorough understanding of communications tools and techniques for mid-major level donors.
• Strong writing and analytical skills as wells as attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
