Excellent salary + Benefits

If climate change adaptation is your thing and you are making a successful career in consultancy, then it’s time to join ICF International.

We are recognised leaders in climate change and environmental markets, having advised more than 30 governments and international institutions and served more than 60 companies in the FT Global 500.  This leadership is reflected in our exceptional range of capabilities. We develop emissions inventories and carbon footprints; conduct greenhouse gas mitigation policy analysis; assist clients with offset and carbon credit projects; support organisational sustainability; produce analyses relating to climate change impacts and vulnerabilities – and much more besides.

We are looking for a specialist in climate change adaptation to join our expandingLondonteam as a senior manager.

Your challenge is:

  • To lead the growth of our European climate change adaptation business, working closely with ourLondonteam and colleagues elsewhere in ICF;
  • To help win and deliver climate change impacts and adaptation contracts for the European Commission, governments, international development clients and private sector clients;
  • To provide technical contributions and manage climate change impact and adaptation projects; and,
  • Contribute to the development of our global market strategies.

You will be based with our climate change and energy team in centralLondonand will be working within a team of analysts, modellers, economists, scientists and technical specialists across our international network of offices.

To make your mark you will need a reputation as a thought leader and must be well respected by public sector clients.  You will also need a strong consulting background and a successful business development record.   An understanding of EU adaptation policies is essential and past experience of consulting at European level would be very helpful, as would the ability to work in a number of European languages.

In return, we will provide you with the support and training to continue developing your professional skills and a working environment designed to make the most of your intellectual and practical abilities. As for career prospects – they are everything you would expect from an organisation employing more than 4,500 people and whose wider expertise spans energy and climate change, environment and infrastructure, homeland security and defence, and health, human services and social programmes (see www.icfi.com).

We will only contact applicants shortlisted for interview.
