JOB DESCRIPTION

The position is at the Senior Program Manager level (minimum 7 years professional experience). This person reports to the Director of Management & Administration:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage core HR processes, including staffing, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, employee development;
  • Advise senior management on employment policies and practices;
  • Enhance the organization’s capacity to attract, retain and manage the talent it needs to succeed;
  • Make appropriate recommendations to address short and long term HR issues;
  • Ensure compliance with Korean and international personnel standards and legal requirements;
  • Implementing GGGI performance evaluation system, and annual approval system, being in charge of liaise and advise senior management and staff with annual performance target setting.

Compensation commensurate with skills and experience, competitive with other nonprofits;

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor degree (B.A.) minimum, Master (M.A.) preferred.

Experience: Minimum 7 years of human resources professional experience, including in an international organization and/or location, such as a UN institution, multilateral development bank (MDB) or similar.

Languages: Proficient written and spoken English is a must; Korean is a plus.

Background:

  • Familiar with international hiring and personnel practices at an international think-tank, research institute, university, or UN, MDB’s or similar international nonprofit organizations; knowledge of Korean employment and labor laws and practices is a plus;
  • Be able to summarize and articulate to senior management;
  • Strong computer skills. Experience with computerized human resources systems;
  • Experience in adapting changing organizational cultures.
  • Expert knowledge in implementing and retaining performance evaluation systems and annual appraisal systems.
