Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.

A minimum of 10 years experience with climate change, greenhouse gases, carbon credits, air quality consulting and/or related professional experience.

Experience with air quality permitting (particularly in Texas) for petrochemical, refining, and other industries considered a plus.

Expert with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint).

Must have strong oral presentation skills, strong written communication skills, and strong math skills.

Must have excellent interpersonal communication, project management, and business development skills.

Prior experience managing environmental projects required.

Ability to cultivate existing relationships with clients.

Ability to pursue new business opportunities for URS.

Ability to direct efforts of and mentor junior staff.
Job Description: Develop, manage, and support environmental projects involving technical and/or policy analyses related to the following issues: climate change; carbon management; greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory development; sustainable and/or renewable energy practices; emissions cap and trade programs; and compliance strategy implementation.

In addition to handling technical respo9nsibilities, this position will handle Project management responsibilities including cultivating relationships with clients to seek new business opportunities and mentoring junior staff.

This position reports to the Environmental Permitting & Compliance Unit Leader.
