The Alliance to Save Energy, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit focused on promoting energy efficiency worldwide, is seeking an Administrative Associate to support its Public & Corporate Relations team.
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Relations and Fundraising, (Director) the Senior Manager of Fundraising (Sr. Mgr.) will serve as a key team member and participant in making decisions affecting the Alliance’s fundraising strategy. The successful candidate will help forge new relationships to build the Alliance’s visibility, impact, and financial resources. Along with the Director, the Sr. Mgr will design, implement and manage a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by cultivating individual and philanthropic support.
With the Director, the Sr. Mgr. will have primary responsibility for establishing, implementing and managing the infrastructure needed to grow the Alliance’s budget through the solicitation of major gifts, electronic fundraising, Combined Federal Campaign, and special event, project and campaign fundraising. S/he will expand and diversify the Alliance’s donor base/pipeline and work closely with other team members to secure funding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following::
Develop, implement and manage a plan for the Alliance’s Major Gifts program; Develop, implement and manage a plan for the Alliance’s individual giving program; Develop, implement and manage a plan for the Alliance’s Combined Federal Campaign (CFC); Develop, implement and manage a plan for donor expansion for Alliance events; Work in collaboration with all of the Alliance teams to identify potential new donors; Oversee the content of the Alliance’s fundraising promotional materials; Oversee the tracking system for all Alliance donations and generate a monthly report of all Alliance donations to the Major Gifts and Online Giving programs; Represent the Alliance at networking events, conferences, etc.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should have at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree and at least six years of relevant experience in a corporate or a non-profit setting. Exceptional organizational, oral and written communications skills and a proven track record in fundraising are essential. Competence in fundraising software (Convio preferred but not necessary) and Microsoft Office are a prerequisite. The position could require a modest amount of travel, mostly within the US.
