Job Description :
Position Summary
Based in Melbourne, the consultant will be responsible for providing professional support as part of a team of foresters working across the Asia-Pacific region. The key focus will be on projects involving environmental auditing within a forestry context. However the consultant will also be required to work across other areas in which he or she has appropriate skills and knowledge, as needed. The position requires well developed environmental auditing skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team, and willingness and capacity to travel locally, interstate and internationally as required. Responsibilities/Objectives • Assist with the identification of prospects and winning new work in the area of forestry/environmental auditing; • Contribute to and lead forestry and environmental projects with an audit component; • Develop expertise in environmental and systems auditing that is recognised internally and externally; • Contribute as required to projects in other fields of forestry where the consultant has appropriate skills and knowledge; and • Further develop and demonstrate expertise in project management, including achieving URS’ Project Management certification. Reporting Relationships The position will report to the Group Leader, Environmental Services group, within URS Forestry.
