Senior Flood Risk Modeller

A senior level candidate is sought to work with the existing river/coastal modelling team of this leading international consultancy. Based in their Cardiff office, the candidate should have river/coastal flood modelling expertise, ideally gained as part of delivering the Environment Agency’s Strategic Flood Risk Management Framework.

The person should be familiar with software e.g. ISIS Tuflow or similar modelling packages, the Flood Estimation Handbook and must be able to lead on technical projects. They will be a self-starter and problem-solver with innovative ideas and a team player with good communications skills.

You will have a First degree in an appropriate subject (e.g. Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, Mathematics) and ideally a second degree in Water Engineering, Engineering Hydrology or an appropriate subject. Membership of a Professional Body (e.g. MICE or MCIWEM) would also be desirable.
