Our Fisheries team is currently looking to recruit a Senior Fisheries Standard Manager to join the team.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of the MSC’s Fisheries Standard and the Fisheries Certification Process, with a focus on the accessibility of the MSC program to fisheries globally.

This is a senior position, and the post holder will play a role in leading the Fisheries team.

Some of the key tasks that you will be involved in will be:

  • the coordination of the In-transition (ITM) to the MSC pilot’s Operation & Development Working Group;
  • the coordination of capacity building training operations related to ITM;
  • supporting the development of capacity building training procedures;
  • contributing to the development of the MSC Fisheries Standard and Fisheries Certification Process.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong working knowledge of MSC’s Fisheries Standard and certification processes, with a proven track record in resolving issues associated with fisheries assessment.

You will also have:

  • demonstrable knowledge of fisheries improvement projects, with a focus on implementation and monitoring of progress;
  • experience in delivering technical training or capacity building activities, preferably in a developing world context and using online training platforms or learning management systems;
  • a strong teamwork ethic and excellent project planning, organisation, and time management skills;
  • experience working with stakeholders and other external parties to develop policy;
  • a track record of successfully managing relationships with stakeholders, collaborators, and colleagues.

Please note this role can be based at any regional MSC Office.
