CH2M HILL Senior Carbon Energy Management Finance Consultant Jobs - London, UK

The challenge? Provide financial consulting expertise to our clients for our rapidly growing Carbon and Energy Management business. Each day, as a Senior Finance Consultant you will be the face of CH2M HILL as you utilize your private sector consulting experience in carbon and energy management to provide corporate financial consulting expertise and specialization in environmental finance for our clients in the North America and Europe. You should be a self-motivated carbon energy management finance professional with 10 years of successful experience, have a degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or closely related technical discipline relevant to carbon energy finance management and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally.

Our Senior Carbon Energy Management Finance Consultants:

  • Participate and collaborate in client development activities through strong thought leadership and know-how on carbon finance strategies and solutions.
  • Demonstrate previous successful corporate carbon financial strategy development, business management consulting, and experience providing leadership to a multi-disciplinary management and technical consulting team.
  • Provide technical input on proposals and in client presentations, and by participating in the successful delivery of strategic, enterprise-wide carbon and energy management programs.
  • Understand compliance-based and voluntary carbon markets both internationally and in North America.
  • Serve as a technical expert in strategic management consulting, including the development and assessment of carbon investments (e.g., early action credits, external offsets, market investments) and renewable energy investments.
  • Have industrial sector experience, particular with oil and gas and petrochemical clients in the US and Europe.
  • Network within industry organizations, technical seminars and trade shows, including delivery of technical presentations.

Additional Information:

This position has the flexibility to be attached to one of the following CH2M HILL offices: San Francisco, CA, Seattle, WA, Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, Chantilly, VA, Calgary, Alberta Canada, or London, UK.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science or other technical discipline relevant to carbon energy finance management.
  • 10 years experience in corporate financial management.
  • 5 years of consulting experience along with a strong understanding of the business principles of consulting.
  • 5 years experience in carbon market finance.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful experience integrating expertise and approaches with broader client carbon and energy consulting services and strategies.
  • Experience with European Union Emission Trading System.
  • Experience with U.S. voluntary and regional carbon markets.
  • Previous international / global consulting experience and multi-cultural business expertise.
  • Demonstrate previous consulting project management execution success on large-scale carbon energy management and/or industrial related projects.
  • Strong writing skills both for persuasive writing and scope of work that provides a solid basis for performance and change management.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills to build the internal and external relationships required to rapidly grow our business along with previous success leading staff located in multiple offices and locations.
