Senior Estimator

The primary role of the Senior Estimator is to secure business by providing outstanding pricing / proposal support to the Commercial Sales Team. This position is the subject matter expert who supports all technical and pricing aspects of commercial sales activity.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate initial project specifications and plans
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate estimates (including working with clients, subs and vendors)
• Assist in establishing construction budgets
• Conduct training on new estimating procedures and software packages as required
• Evaluate cost performance of projects
• Participate in sales/design meetings to assist the team in developing the project

 
Essential Qualifications:

• Knowledge of electrical industry and cost estimating principles
• Self-motivated
• Demonstrated ability to positively influence others in successfully completing projects
• Highly organized
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work independently and stay focused
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Construction Management preferred
