A leading US solar developer that has raised and invested well over $1 billion to date is looking for an Experienced Environmental Manager/Scientist – specifically for North Carolina State as a result of a growing pipeline of projects in the region.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Multi-task in order to oversee multiple consultations on multiple projects
- Oversee preparation of CWA Section 404 and 401 delineation reports
- Manage consultants performing environmental due diligence
- Coordinate with state and federal resource agencies
- Attend public zoning and permitting meetings
- Flexible travel to development sites several days per month
Job Requirements:
- BS or MS in Environmental Science or similar discipline
- Minimum of 5 years’ field experience in environmental permitting & planning
- Exposure to federal and state environmental licencing in NC (other state permitting experience beneficial)
- At least 2 years’ experience in regulatory compliance/ permitting/ wetland
- Proven ability to read and summarise technical reports, and engineering plans
