IntroductionOur client are currently seeking a Senior Environmental Consultant within their Birmingham office. ImportantExperience of reporting to elected members and/or private/public sector clients The JobAs a Senior Environmental Consultant in Birmingham, the successful candidate will be joining our clients UK North Environment, Transport & Planning team, your primary role will be undertaking policy, SEA, EIA and SA work on a range of infrastructure and urban development projects. You will need to have a good working knowledge of environmental assessment and management, and knowledge of transportation (particularly road, heavy rail and light rail) and general development projects. Work will entail aspects of project management, such as programming and budgeting, and technical support, such as technical studies and report writing. The successful candidate would be expected to demonstrate the following knowledge:
The Birmingham team is part of a wider team in the Midlands, North of England and Scotland and you will be expected to support staff and projects across the other offices (Nottingham, Chesterfield, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh). You will work with less experienced members of the team to expand knowledge and skill across the region. The right candidate will be chartered with the following skills:
