Description: Ecology Action, a California-based non-profit, is a leading provider of innovative marketing and engagement programs that overcome barriers to reducing energy use and achieving environmental sustainability.

As a result of our growing number of programs and the expansion of energy efficiency technologies, we have an immediate need for an innovative Senior Technology Leader to join our Management team. The Senior Technology Lead identifies, evaluates and facilitates the integration of multiple innovative program delivery solutions for Ecology Action’s new DOE-funded SMART Scale program and other EA energy efficiency programs. This position will coordinate the involvement of key internal EA teams as well as external industry stakeholders to research, identify, design, test, analyze, deploy and refine multiple program innovations to ensure program goals are met.
Duties: • Identify, evaluate and recommend appropriate finance mechanisms, rebate structures, remote monitoring of energy performance, data visualization, streamlining approaches to savings measurement and verification
• Assess technical, economic and operational feasibility of potential innovations.
• Vet potential innovations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analysis and business case development of various potential innovations.
• Participate in the development and evaluation of various sales and delivery strategies in order to integrate innovations into business practices.
• Communicate findings to Ecology Action Management team.
• Lead the planning and implementation of the selected advancements within Ecology Action programs.
• Manage the pipeline and processes of technical and process innovations including communications to broader Ecology Action team and training to enable Energy field staff to deliver the programs
• Ensure adherence to company processes and quality assurance guidelines
• Contribute to Program design (new) and process improvement (existing)
• Conduct pilots, special programs, and similar developmental activities
• May manage a team of professionals
• Assist with the development of new business
Qualifications: • Proven experience in engagement and coordination of diverse sets of stakeholders
• Comfort with experimentation, frequent changes in course, committing to courses of action with limited data.
• Knowledge of the energy efficiency regulatory climate
• Familiarity with conventional and emerging EE technologies and cost effectiveness evaluation of EE measures.
• Understanding of commercial energy efficiency technologies and delivery strategies
• Technical aptitude; experience interfacing and overseeing solutions
• Contract negotiation and management experience
• Ability to rapidly absorb and convey technical information, including conducting presentations and trainings
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels in an organization
• Ability to identify, assess, and meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
• Ability to travel as needed
• Proficient use of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software
• BA/BS or commensurate work experience and training in a professional setting

Preferred Skills and Experience
• Understanding of contractor law in California
