SolarCity is seeking a Senior Energy Efficiency Technician.  The Senior Energy Efficiency Technician will report to the Energy Efficiency Regional Manager.  Responsibilities will include weatherizing homes by installing insulation, air-sealing, duct sealing, repairing and replacing ductwork, installing windows and doors, drywall and light carpentry.  May also include helping with removal of old and installation of new furnaces and water heaters.   
Responsibilities
  • Help coordinate installations with Crew Lead
  • Air seal building envelope.
  • Duct Sealing
  • Repair and replace ductwork
  • Weatherstrip doors and hatches.
  • Install insulation including fiberglass batts, blown in fiberglass, blown in cellulose, foam board, and spray foam. 
  • Install pipe insulation.
  • Remove existing windows and doors and install new.
  • Patch and install drywall.
  • Install new roof/attic ventilation.
  • Assist with removal of old and installation of new water heaters and furnaces. 
  • Assist with blower door and duct blaster testing.
