Position: Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer Job Duties: Analyze systems and processes with heat transfer, fluid dynamic and thermodynamic principals for energy efficiency improvements. Evaluate commercial & industrial HVAC, mechanical, electrical, hot water and building envelope systems and components for energy efficiency. Prepare energy savings calculation tools, energy models and data analyses for new measures and new proposals. Perform and document energy audits, for commercial, institutional, municipal, lodging and residential customers using knowledge of utility data bases and HVAC equipment. Develop simulated models using eQuest or other certified software to quantify energy savings. Develop and implement Measurement & Verification (M&V) plans to document realized energy savings. Work with staff, manufacturers and consultants to develop work papers for new measures and refine existing work papers. Work with staff to move new measures through the “TIP” process. Skills Required: California Licensed Professional Engineer. LEED Accredited Professional. Previous work experience in Retro-commissioning (RCx). Must have had formal training on certified energy modeling software (e.g. eQuest).
