Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer - Tech. Manager – San Francisco

Sequence is seeking a Senior Mechanical or Chemical Engineer to oversee commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects that involve commissioning and re-commissioning of facility boiler, steam, hot water, HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration systems.

The ideal individual would have 8+ years of technical experience in the engineering design and construction of boiler, steam, hot water, HVAC, lighting, and refrigeration efficiency programs that involve long term measurement and verification strategies. Candidates should be considered technical experts in at least one facility system and can provide senior technical leadership in all facility systems, if needed. This would include the initial evaluation of facility systems, auditing, developing energy efficiency models, engineering plans for system commissioning / retrofitting, developing the financial incentive plans, identifying and installing mechanical systems, and verifying energy efficiency data / cost savings results on a regular basis.

This is a senior level technical opportunity that will require engineering design, estimating / budgeting, proposal creation and engineering / staff management responsibilities for all projects in the organization. Candidates must have excellent technical engineering skills related to monitoring based energy efficiency programs. Understanding and utilization of flow meters, flue gas analyzers, temperature and pressure loggers.

Requires a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. MS preferred. California Professional Engineering (PE) Registration is required. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
