Senior Energy Consultant-Milan

 Excellent opportunity for an experienced energy consulting individual to join a leading European Energy Consultancy with their Milan team in Italy. They provide strategy, policy, regulatory and financial advice to companies entering or expanding their European energy (including renewables) markets. The Italian energy sector is dynamic and has changed rapidly over the last few years since the break up/deregulation of the state owned energy utility companies. Their clients will include governments, think tanks, utility companies, developers, investors & financiers, traders and suppliers etc.

They are looking for a senior consultant join their energy consulting team and help develop the business forward from existing and future projects. The candidate will need to demonstrate a successful track record in delivery from within a commercial consultancy environment. The ability to think commercially and analytically and hold credibility at senior Board level is crucial. You will join a dynamic team of energy analysts, market specialists, regulatory experts and economists who are working on conventional and renewable energy projects.

Essential Requirements

Your background is likely to be from an Energy, Management or Strategy consultancy background but alternatively experience in the finance consulting markets is also acceptable for the right individual.

·         5 years+ work experience in the energy consulting industry or alternatively in a similar time period in either finance or strategy consulting in the Italian Market ·         A University degree in economics, mathematics or scientific related subject.·         Fluency in Italian and English. A second European language specifically French, German, or Spanish is very advantageous.·         Demonstrable track records in managing projects within tight deadlines & budget·         Commercial awareness and business development background.·         Excellent communication & report writing skills.  .

There will also be opportunities for European work and travel.
