Johnson Controls has several exciting opportunities for Senior Energy Managers to join their team based in Sweden, London and the South of the UK. This role will involve a flexible approach to travel, working throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
The Role of the Senior Energy Manager:
Undertaking energy conservation surveys within the industrial sector
Developing a system for defining and reporting industrial project opportunities
Preparing detailed schemes and cost estimates to enable prioritisation of opportunities based on financial Return On Investment
Regional Strategy: Agree Regional strategy objectives with Clients Corporate Organisation
Programme: Develop and agree detailed roll-out programme for the Regional programme
Implementation Strategy: Development and management of strategy in the areas of Information technology, Energy technology, Supplier partners & Resourcing
Resource Mobilisation: Mobilisation of resources, equipment and systems working with local company teams & external supply partners
Tools & Process: Implementation of common technology, processes and reporting across the Clients portfolio
Communication: Encouraging the flow of best practice, information and innovation between sites and into the account by training seminars and information management
Standards: Dissemination and implementation of Clients standards or changes to requirements
Staff Management: Functional staff management, development & training
Reporting: Monthly reporting of progress against objectives within each business unit
Quarterly Reviews: Quarterly business reviews with Clients Regional Head of Environmental Sustainability
Financial: Management of programme commercials, risk and economics (P&L / BS / TWC)
Progress: Monitoring attainment of objectives and taking corrective actions as required
Budgeting: Annual budgeting and monitoring / support of capital allocation process
Escalation: Managing impediments which are unable to be resolved at a local level
The ideal Senior Energy Manager should have/be:
Practical knowledge and experience of National and International Environmental and Energy legislation and schemes
Good presentation and written communication skills
Assured communication, relationship, influencing and negotiating skills with customers and employees
Technical expertise in implementing leading edge Energy/Utility reduction solutions
Commercially excellent: experience in negotiating significant energy contracts
Relevant degree & Membership of an appropriate Professional Association
