Senior Electrical Engineer (Infrastructure - High Voltage)

We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer (Infrastructure - High Voltage)

Job Purpose:

Responsible for leading and supervising the electrical (Infrastructure - High Voltage) engineering unit; provide guidance to all electrical (Infrastructure - High Voltage) engineering issues and to ensure the timely delivery and to the right quality of all engineering documentations to meet the requirements of the project. 

Key Responsibilities:

-              Responsible for carrying out all the high voltage infrastructure electrical engineering activities with the required quality, budget and time schedule.

-              Assign and re-assign Electrical Engineers for new projects and ongoing projects as per the specific project requirements.

-              Execute equipment and system engineering for all electrical equipment and systems in cooperation with vendors and suppliers.

-              Conduct a thorough review to the design outputs from design engineers and draughtsman, to ensure that the client requirements have been met.

-              Define engineering sequence for electrical equipment; describe Client's/Consultant's input as well as interfacing requirements.

-              Obtain Clients approval of engineering documents.

-              Ensure all engineering submissions meet the quality requirements of the Clients.

-              Guides explanations and clarifies information to enable proper interpretation and evaluation of complex technical specification and documents as well as other technical data.

-              Develop recommendations for very complex designs, processes and design changes to meet Client's requirements.

-              To ensure that the design of the different electrical systems has been done as per the latest applicable regulations in the UAE and the referenced international standards.

-              Maintaining/validating the adopted electric systems specifications and to perform regular review to ensure its integrity and suitability of the specified systems for each specific project.

-              Forecast, track and support Department’s development and growth.

-              Coach employees to improve their competencies.

Skills:

-              At least 10 years experience in Infrastructure works from a reputable Engineering or Design and Construction Firm.

-              Strong Electrical – High Voltage Infrastructure background.

-              Can effectively communicate and work with management, technical & operational staff.

-              Demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate people toward common goals and objectives.

-              Computer literate

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
