A national firm of property consultants, is seeking a senior ecologist to work as part of its team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ecologist to develop ecological services within this national property consultancy firm. The position will be located in Central Southern England although it is possible for this person to be position themselves in one of their many national offices.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver ecological advice nationwide to a variety of existing clients including national corporate clients, developers and private landowners.
The successful candidate must:
•    Be a full member of IEEM and either CEnv or working towards this.
•    Have a minimum of 7 years professional experience working within public or corporate sectors
•    Be able to demonstrate a sound technical knowledge based on extensive field experience.  As part of this we would expect the candidate to hold as many Natural England licences for protected species as possible and mitigation licence experience with any or all of them would be advantageous. 
•    Be able to demonstrate business acumen, possessing a track record of successful project management, including managing budgets, staff, subcontractors and clients as well as an ability to attract new clients. 
•    Possess good report writing skills
•    Be able to demonstrate a commercial attitude to managing the environmental needs of clients
Salary: up to £35K basic depending upon experience. There will also be opportunities to earn performance related bonuses.
