As the Senior Director/ Vice President of West Sales at OPOWER you will lead a team of 3 to 6 experienced Sales Directors covering West Coast accounts from Southern California through the Pacific Northwest, reporting directly to the OPOWER Senior Vice President of Client Solutions. You will have responsibility for delivering against a major part of the annual operating plan, and will be well-compensated for exceeding this commitment.

Responsibilities

Work with our current and prospective clients to influence their organization, their long-term vision and their needs around customer engagement, customer satisfaction, energy efficiency and the Smart Grid. Understand and influence the regulatory environment in your areas of responsibility and ensure these environments are favorable to selling behavior-based energy efficiency and SmartGrid programming.

  • You will have an annual quota for delivering a major part of the operating plan, including new sales and expansions.
  • You will ensure your team’s pipeline can support OPOWER’s growth plan.
  • You will work closely with the OPOWER SVP of Client Solutions, VP of Regulatory Affairs, Sales Operations, Legal, Marketing, Product, Operations, and outside consultants to set strategy and execute on tactics to close business.

About You

  • You love “the hunt”, are a master salesperson, and know how to win business personally and leveraging your team.
  • You are a proven sales leader, with experience setting quotas for your team, managing to quota, and delivering on your commitments.
  • You have a BA/BS from a top university and/or a MBA (preferred).
  • Traveling 75% of the time to meet with current and prospective clients supporting your team is where you are most comfortable and effective.
