Senior Development Coordinator (AD 824)
Salary depending on skills and experience

WCMC is currently recruiting a Senior Development Coordinator to facilitate, support and promote the development of new projects and programme activities. Working with internal colleagues and partner and donor organisations, this post will play an integral role in coordinating key opportunities and seeing them through to successful outcomes.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will support the Centre to pursue development priorities and research new funding projects and activities of strategic importance.

You will be skilled at tracking and coordinating the Centre’s development work and interpreting and providing regular data to evaluate and communicate the Centre’s progress. With an important focus on quality, this post will deliver and support the production of concept notes and project proposals and ensure that these are consistent and representative of the Centre’s standards.

You will have the opportunity to share your development skills through the delivery of regular proposal and concept note writing training sessions and through ongoing support to the programmes.

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, you will have extensive experience of working within the biodiversity, conservation or development sector and knowledge of the proposal writing processes of relevant donors.

We will provide you with the challenge of working on our high profile development portfolio, where your work makes a difference to the field of conservation in an area aligned to our strategic aims and broader global initiatives. In addition to training and development opportunities, we offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including generous pension contributions.

If you are looking for a rewarding and challenging post where you can make an impact, we want to hear from you. Please complete a WCMC application form and send it with a CV and a short covering letter to recruitment@unep-wcmc.org by 25th April 2014.

Please note that this is not a UN post and we can only accept applications from those eligible to work in the UK.
