Borrego Solar Systems, Inc seeks Senior Design Engineer to join our growing team in Lowell, MA to coordinate and design multiple projects simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications:
- Good working knowledge of the NEC with an emphasis on Art. 690
- 5 years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer or similar Leading Projects
- Proficient in AutoCad, Excel, MS Office, MS Project
- Excellent communication skills
Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage the schedule with PMs
- Post and hit deadlines at the time of the Sales handoff
- Controlling the workflow from Sales handoff to CD Set Release
- Ensuring delays are reduced them from minimal to zero.
- Update Project status on Borrego tools including Salesforce and Project
- Responsible for accurate construction documents for the Project Managers to build from
- Plans should lead to installations within budget without change orders as a result of engineering error
- Design projects according to Borrego Design Standards
- Complete review process for each job through Permit and Construction Drawings
- Release and correct DWF sets of plans
- Design with and understand the functionality of the Borrego Design Tools
- Review the plans at the DE level for jobs with approved products
- Manage outside Sub-contractor resources
- Working in a Mentorship role with less experienced team members
- Work with Manufacturers to vet and design non-approved products appropriately
- Development of infrastructure
- Construction administration as needed as questions arise on site
- Work with and advise the PM for design considerations
