Our Wind Energy Unit works internationally on sustainable wind energy projects, both on- and offshore. Our wind energy experts give advice to project developers, utilities, government organizations, financial institutions in the areas of feasibility, development, design, engineering, project management, economic analysis and due diligence for wind projects. Ecofys has formulated a strategy that involves expansion of its activities in wind energy to the centre points of growth in the wind sector. For this reason we are looking for a Senior Consultant Wind Energy who will be responsible for implementing and executing this growth strategy in Germany. You will work in close cooperation with the wind energy unit experts, the Unit Manager and the Ecofys Board. Your actions should result in a firm basis for future sustained business of Ecofys in the global wind energy market. The primary goals are: added value for the Ecofys group and diversification of its activities to ensure a sustainable market position of Ecofys in the wind energy sector. Within two years this new position needs to materialize, while long term results should be carefully balanced against short term successes.
In the beginning the Ecofys Utrecht office will be your home base. You will participate in projects to obtain a deep understanding of the services Ecofys is offering. However, you will also have to be in northern Germany quite often. Willingness to travel and a flexible working attitude is crucial to make this a success. You will contribute to the international market position of Ecofys and profile Ecofys as a sustainable energy knowledge and innovation company. You will manage the acquisition phase of large and/or complex projects and realize profitable and realistic contracts. As a senior consultant, you’ll also contribute to the development of others by coaching on the job.
Your profile
If you are enthusiastic about the job described above and you meet the following criteria, then we would be happy to meet you!
- University education (preferably natural sciences/economics) and at least 7 years of relevant professional experience;
- Proven experience with acquisition and sales in a new and competitive market place;
- Strong network in the German wind energy sector and associated stakeholders;
- Good knowledge of the development of the international wind energy sector and related subjects, like legal framework and standards;
- Excellent oral and written command of German and English. Good knowledge of Dutch is a bonus;
- Well developed project management, proposal writing and people management skills;
- Result driven, independent worker without losing contact with the organization.
