Senior Consultant Foundations (offshore wind)

Our wind energy experts work internationally on sustainable wind energy projects, both on- and offshore. We advise project developers, utilities, Government organisations and financial institutions in the areas of feasibility, development, design, engineering, project management, economic analysis and due diligence for wind projects.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Consultant Foundations (offshore)with experience in engineering consultancy or project development, knowledge of offshore foundations and the desire to have real influence in reducing environmental impacts.

Your main role will be to act as senior consultant in the Business Area Energy Systems & Markets. You will actively maintain and grow your professional network to develop new projects for Ecofys, in line with focussed sales areas. In executing work for our clients you might act as a technical advisor, project manager or project director where you will make sure the project is delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client. You will continuously share your insights with the members of your sales team and the knowledge hub leader wind energy, ensuring relevant technical and market information is secured and thus ensuring cross area content integration throughout the company and accelerating sales opportunities.  

Your profile

• University degree in (wind/renewable energy/civil/offshore) engineering;
• At least 7 years’ experience working for an engineering consultancy and/or project developer;
• Strong project management and commercial skills with the ability to generate new sales opportunities from a foundations perspective e.g. services with high cost reduction potential for the client and the sector;
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in the marine construction sector;
• Outgoing with a large international network in the offshore wind industry;
• Self-driven with the ambition to play a leading role in knowledge development;
• Strong communicator, both in presenting and in writing;
• Excellent oral and written command of English and preferably another European language;
• Willingness to travel to and work in other countries for our projects;
• Working permit for and willingness to reallocate to the Netherlands.

It would be a pre if you:

• Speak Dutch, but not a pre-requisite;
• Have 10+ years of experience;
• Combine consultancy experience with offshore wind project execution experience;
• Have experience in managing contracting processes;
• Have a team leading background;
• Have proven knowledge of international standards.
