Senior Consultant Ecologist
Cambridge
We are looking for a Natural England Bat licence holder to join our team of Ecologists based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. The right candidate will be enthusiastic, experienced, motivated to make a difference and will share our client focused philosophy of delivering high quality professional consultancy service.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A degree in an appropriate ecology or environmental science discipline.
• A sound knowledge of bat species identification and surveying techniques and checking roost sites.
• Experience of applying ecological principles to a range of projects, preferably within an environmental consultancy framework.
• Experience of staff management
• Good communication skills, especially with clients
• Experience of tendering and quoting for new work
• Sound project management (including budgets) and communication skills
• The ability to market Ecology consultancy services to potential clients.
• A reasonable knowledge of environmental law, including the Habitats Directive, EU Wild Birds Directive, Habitats Regulations, EIA Directive, EIA Regulations, CRoW Act.
