This exciting vacancy has arisen for a contaminated land professional to join one of the UK’s major environmental consultancies. Our client has a superb reputation and can offer you the opportunity to be closely involved in a wide range of investigations and assessments, including detailed inspections under Part 2A and with a particular focus on risk assessment. Working alongside established risk assessors, you will be responsible for undertaking site investigations, generic and detailed quantitative risk assessments and assisting in the development of remediation strategies for land contamination. This role will also include the management of ground investigations to provide information required for human health and environmental risk assessments as well as involving liaison with clients and regulators, therefore the ability to communicate complex technical information is essential. You will hold a BSc in a relevant subject, ideally along with an MSc in an environmental science/engineering subject. You will be numerate and well organised, able to analyse and interpret site investigation data, and enjoy seeking solutions to technical challenges. In addition, good report writing skills and experience in human health detailed quantitative risk assessments is essential. Development within the role would be expected and could be achieved through increased technical expertise, project management, client management and/or staff management responsibilities. |
